BUSINESS MACHINERY

AURUM's ability to operate effectively at high PV levels and elevated temperatures in dry and intermittent lubrication environments has led to an extensive list of business machinery applications.

In high-speed digital copiers and printers, AURUM thermal insulators, paper stripper fingers, end-caps, gears, and drive couplings operate at temperatures to 480°F. Specially formulated, low-wear AURUM compounds are available that function exceptionally against counter surfaces including steel, aluminum, and rubber.

AURUM injection molded components for high speed copiers & printers operate against steel, aluminum, and rubber mating surfaces without lubrication. AURUM'S low thermal conductivity of 0.15 kcal/mhr°C (unfilled) protects more extensive fuser system components from fuser temperatures as high as 480°F.

AURUM injection molded printer & copier gears provide low wear and friction properties when used at elevated temperatures with metal mating gears. AURUM gears can be molded to an AGMA 10 precision.

INDUSTRIAL

Designers of industrial machinery specify AURUM components for a unique combination of high strength at elevated temperature, chemical resistance, and resistance to wear. In applications ranging from bushings for hot melt glue guns to seals for reciprocating compressors, AURUM's close tolerance moldability is another critical feature.

AURUM gears can be insert molded around a metal hub and have a safe working stress of 4500 psi at 200°C.

AURUM pump components including gears, bearings, seals, and housings take advantage of AURUM's superior chemical resistance at elevated temperatures.

AURUM bearings are used on food processing conveyor systems after receiving USDA approval for indirect food contact in 1994.
